CVMRCC field condition latest photos

CVMRCC members & Board, I was able to get some better video and photos at the field this afternoon. Of course it's a mess. I see rain is forecast again starting Wednesday, though I don't know how bad it will be. The field still looks inaccessible. It's going to be a while before we can get back in and start cleaning up. And it of course depends on what else mother nature has in store for us. We did this already once at the beginning of the year. The little bit of good news, I couldn't see them from the hill, but in the video footage I saw three start stands. One under the canopies near the middle, and two behind the outhouse. (How does that outhouse not float away??? We should tie everything to it.) I got an email from Kaile Hogan who saw the field this morning. He says the access road is inaccessible, not surprising, and it appears some mud is washed up on the runway and pits, but looks like it could have been worse. I'm heading down there with my drone shortly to get closer pics and video. I think I'll be able to post another update here but won't be able to share photos or video until after work late tonight. I just got word from someone with a 4wd truck they barely made it through, and a van was stuck for half an hour. Sounds bad.
CVMRCC membership renewal reminder

Just a reminder to get your membership renewals in before they are due at the end of the first meeting in January. And I recently realized, that falls on January 1st! Who's gonna be at the 10 AM meeting on January 1st?... I probably will, and I'll bring about 20 application forms in case you didn't print one yet. I'll try to get some on the pin box next chance I get as well. So far I only got barely over a dozen renewals. I've attached all the membership info here again for anyone who missed the last email about it. Also, I'm putting a tag on the badges for those with turbine waivers, and I can't check for that on the AMA site, so if you want a turbine waiver tag on your badge, please put a note on your application for me. Access road conditions update

CVMRCC members & Board, Walter sent me a note today that while the runway was fine after the recent rains, the access road flooded. He said as of 4:30 PM on Friday, it was passable with a truck, but maybe not good for a car. Be extra careful if you go out there. And I see more rain in the forecast early next week. I won't be out there tomorrow(Saturday), but if anyone has an update they'd like to share about this, please email me or text, and I'll share it with everyone. Thanks, Tom

The next meeting is this coming Saturday at 10 AM at the field. Remember, you can bring your membership renewals there if you don't want to mail them. See you there!

CVMRCC members & Board, Please get anything you'd like included in the December newsletter to me this week. Photos, comments, articles, tips, and don't forget the classifieds. Don't forget to send in your membership renewal. They are due before the end of the first club meeting in 2022.
